okay first you need to get tooth paste (im sure you have some)
get baking soda ( ask your parents)
mix the soda(baking soda) into the paste (tooth paste)
after a couple brushes you can see that you teeth is whiter.
and you can barley taste the baking soda in the paste.
make sure you rinse out just like what you would do when you brush your teeth.

a very inexpensive one that i reccomend is BAKING SODA! i swear you have to try this, i do it all the time (well twice a week is all you can do) but you just get your tooth brush wet and plop on some baking soda just like you would toothpaste and just brush your teeth with it. its gonna taste weird and dont swallow it, but i PROMISE youll see results immediatly. my mom found out about it in this weird magazine and insisted i try it. its soo cool :D
and to the person below me, you must have REALLY sensitive teeth to only be using crest white strips once a year! i dont think that applys to everyone, and i def said dont use it every day, just once or twice a week. otherwise youll destroy the enamel on your teeth.

i had my teeth whitened, but i was certain that i wanted them to be effectively white, so i went through my dentist. I am 17 and live in the Uk... so if u r 16.. then u shud be able to get it done, if they say you must be 21 don't listen its rubbish. It cost me about 300 in total, but i noticed the result after just one day. i got it done nearly 2 years ago and they are still white... i highly recommend it. :)

Hello I work in a dental office and the majority of patients who want to whitening have really white teeth to begin with.
If you go to an office to get whitening they have an in-office done in a couple of hours and it is the best. However it cost $ 300-600. Not really worth other than it is fast results that last longer. The results vary for every patient. If your teeth look yellow they will lighten but if your teeth look more grey or brown you won't get good results.
Most offices also offer trays custom made for your mouth and will run you about $ 200-350. You wear the trays, like a mouthguard, for an hour day to overnight. Most people think this isn't bad but then they never wear them.
You can try over the counter for probably about $ 60. If I was to whiten this would be what I would do, unless you want to waste your money and go for the inoffice. You can buy a lot of strips for $ 600. Becareful because it can get addictive and you can ruin your teeth. You can also ask your dental office if the have strips that you can buy, like crest or listerine strips. They will be a little stronger in the office than over the counter.

You paid $ 200 just for bleaching trays ??? You got ripped off !
Do yourself a favor and don't waste any money on bleaching products for your teeth. The over the counter stuff is not strong enough. Go to a dentist if you have to bleach your teeth. Keep in mind that crowns, caps, fillings and other dental work will stay the same color, they will not become lighter.
Look, people don't know that teeth are living organs (having blood vessels and nerves), they're not just pieces of bone stuck in your gums... The colour of the tooth comes from within (the dentin), the enamel is the outer layer that covers the dental crown and protects it. The bleaching affects the enamel creating the temporary illusion of "whiter teeth". Ever wondered why you need to bleach AGAIN ?
Oh, let's mention the hypersensitivity you're left with after bleaching, and doesn't always go away...
Working in a dental office I could have this (bleaching) done for free (zero, zip, zilch, nada) but I choose not to do it !...If people only knew...

Honestly, I've found that taking a small amount of half peroxide and half water and swishing it in your mouth works wonders. It may take a couple of days to notice but it works great. Just make sure you rinse with water well afterwards... And don't swallow!!!!

Be careful because brushing your teeth with baking soda more than once a week can cause serious damage to your teeth enamel. You might want to use whitestrips or an actual teeth whitening treatment instead. I found some free trials that I posted on my blog that work great. You can see how much of a difference they made on my teeth.

This question is a perfect example of why it is not possible to quote prices for dental treatments. The price ranges from free to $ 1000 for various methods of bleaching and is dependent on different circumstances.
Of course you want to know about free. In my office, we provide free bleaching trays and materials when final records are done for orthodontic patients. So really, bleaching is included with the orthodontic treatment.
For regular patients in the office, the same procedure is $ 90. For someone who walks in off the street and is not a patient. it is $ 200. But in case you read this late, then I remember they said something about positioning your toothbrush at a 45 degree angle and making little circles around your teeth. I mean, yeah, picture it out, it's hard to describe XDD. But anyways, it was also said that although whitening pastes/gels work to some degree, a pea-sized amount is as effective as a long tube of paste on your toothbrush.
And brush your teeth for at least two minutes, and every after meal.
And avoid candies, too. XDD

well i had braces and it was bad because when the braces came off where the braces were was dirty and around them they were as white as could be so then i had to go to the dentist and get the teeth lazer surgery done after awhile my teeth were finally all the same color again

Here you go, mix a paste of baking soda and peroxide, and brush your teeth with it. Mix it in the palm of your hand, and scrape your toothbrush through it. Gonna cost you less than a dollar each for baking soda, and for peroxide, and it will last a long time. The dentist isn't going to tell you that, because it would put him out of the teeth whitening business!! You already know how expensive that is!
