Question by Micky: How much would it cost to get tooth pulled and also get my teeth whitened?
Im from Ohio and as a kid i was lazy when it came to taking care of my teeth. I do now. But i still dont have the greatest teeth. Need one pulled and teeth whitened, but my parents have no insurance. How much all together do you think it would cost?

Hello there. Well to get your tooth pulled would probably cost somewhere around 100$ . And to get them whitened would cost about 400 to 500$ . But the insurance would not cover the whitening of your teeth anyway. So together it would cost about 500 to 600$ which is a little pricey. I hope I helped and tht you can get this worked out.

This question is a perfect example of why it is not possible to quote prices for dental treatments. The price ranges from free to $ 1000 for various methods of bleaching and is dependent on different circumstances.

Of course you want to know about free. In my office, we provide free bleaching trays and materials when final records are done for orthodontic patients. So really, bleaching is included with the orthodontic treatment.

For regular patients in the office, the same procedure is $ 90. For someone who walks in off the street and is not a patient. it is $ 200. If you want the one hour treatment, Zoom bleaching plus trays for home after, that can run up to $ 1000. Many offices in my area are about $ 200 for the regular tray and home system. Downtown fees are about $ 400.

Doesn't this confuse you even more?

How do I remove a yellow mark on my tooth?

Question by Sakura: How do I remove a yellow mark on my tooth?
Since I was 8, that tooth was white but after a few months, a yellow mark appeared. Now that i'm 13 and planning to get braces, I really want to get it remove badly but i'm scared that it might cost a lot. I went to my regular dentist but when they tried removing it, nothing happened. Do I have to go to another dentist? I know some people who works at an Orthodontist and periodontist but can they help me?

By the way, it's not a normal yellow stain. It's...permanent!

From what I hear, it can be painful, but tolerated.
It's not cheap and not lasting. It's harmful to the enamel of the teeth and I personally wouldn't recommend having it done. Just take care of your teeth and use a whitening tooth paste.

how much will a tooth crowning cost without insurance and do they look good if your teeth are a little yellow?

Question by sonyablade09: how much will a tooth crowning cost without insurance and do they look good if your teeth are a little yellow?
i know my insurance doesnt cover cosmetic denistry , ive had a root canal. on average in florida how much will it cost? and my teeth arent pearly white so will part of my tooth (front tooth) look really white and the rest beige? lol

Answer by Sheree
Crowns are anywhere from $ 600 to $ 2000 depending on the dentist and where they practice.
If you had a root canal it is not considered cosmetic. Your insurance should pay something, you can have a pre determination of benefits, the dentist submits to the insurance company so you know before the procedure is done how much you will have to pay out of pocket.
You need to have a crown because the tooth gets brittle after a root canal and has a greater chance of fracturing. If you wait and the tooth breaks it will cost even more to fix.
The dentist will match the color to the other teeth it should blend in nicely.
