How long would it take to get my teeth white?

Question by Lars xD: How long would it take to get my teeth white?
If I quit eating & drinking so much sugar, eat healthy and brush my teeth twice a day (I do anyway) how long will it take to get my teeth white? They are currently a little yellow. Anyone know xD?

Stop eating and drinking sugar, crazy. That's bad for your overall health and will affect to greatly when you get older. Foods that help you whiten are strawberries and lemons... Drink a lot of lemon water.. Fresh squeezed lemon and not some bottled lemon water... Brush with baking soda...

  1. brushing wont do it

    either use a whitening toothpaste

or one of those whitening kits

  2. Go to your orthodontist or dentist and ask them. Many whitening kits and toothpastes may help whiten your teeth but later in life will ruin your teeth and you will have problems with your mouth. Your dentist probably has some ways/options that you can choose to help whiten your teeth without ruining them

  3. The way I do it is, my teeth are never white and I brush twice a day. I also have healthy, strong teeth. Yeah, I have a damaged tooth with a filling from getting chipped once (that was way back when I was using fluoride a lot), but try to keep your teeth strong so that doesn't happen. The secret is in the way you brush. Brush lightly for 5 minutes at least. Leave your toothbrush in your mouth in the shower and brush whenever you get a free hand. This goes for on the toilet too. Brushing is a major project. Don't brush too hard or you'll wear away your enamel. Also, when using this technique, you must use non-fluoride toothpaste or else you will do damage. Toms of Maine is a good brand, Jason, etc. You can find them in a health food store. Toms of Maine, you can find in CVS and Giant as well. Flossing is also very important. Then, once you brushed thoroughly for a month (do this once a month), rinse with a fluoride based mouthwash for 5 minutes. After that, rinse out you mouth with water a bunch of times to get rid of that nasty fluoride taste. To avoid more fluoride damage to teeth, filter all your water at least 3 times before drinking. Additionally, use a fluoride filter on your shower head. Fluoride is used to kill bacteria in the public water system and shouldn't be used internally except for when using the mouthwash once a month. None of it should ever be ingested.
